Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has made several significant appointments and reassigned key officials in his cabinet, effective January 2, 2025.
Mr. Oyeniyi Adebayo, the current Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning, and Performance Management, has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff to the Governor. Adebayo brings extensive experience in finance, management, and planning to his new role.
Furthermore, the Governor has established the Office of Special Services, which will be headed by Prince Wole Ajakaiye as Special Adviser. Ajakaiye, the current Director General/Special Adviser for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), will oversee the SDGs, Independent Project Monitoring, and other responsibilities assigned by the Governor.
In another development, Governor Oyebanji has appointed Barrister Tajudeen Akingbolu as the Director General of the newly established Ekiti State Transport Agency. Akingbolu, a former member of the State House of Assembly, will oversee the management of the agency.
Governor Oyebanji has extended his best wishes to all appointees, urging them to justify the trust placed in them and work towards more effective service delivery in their respective roles.
