The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that a computer-based test (CBT) will soon be conducted for candidates who successfully made the shortlist in its ongoing nationwide recruitment exercise.
In a public notice signed by the Secretary to the Board, Major General (Rtd.) AM Jibril, the CDCFIB expressed appreciation to members of the public for their patience throughout the recruitment process. The Board disclosed that the CBT would take place across all thirty-six (36) states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
According to the statement, applicants who had previously submitted applications for positions in any of the four services under the Board—the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigerian Immigration Service—are required to check their application status online.
Candidates have been instructed to visit the Board’s official recruitment portal, https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, next week to confirm whether they have been shortlisted for the CBT, as well as to obtain details regarding their designated examination centres and the exact date of the test.
The notice also emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to official communication channels to avoid falling victim to fraudulent activities. The Board cautioned all applicants to rely only on verified information published on its official website and social media handles.
Major General Jibril reiterated the Board’s commitment to ensuring a transparent and merit-based recruitment process across all its services, assuring Nigerians that every qualified applicant would be given a fair opportunity.
The CDCFIB oversees the recruitment and administrative coordination of key national security and safety agencies, including the NSCDC, NIS, NCoS, and FFS. The upcoming CBT marks a major milestone in the Board’s effort to strengthen public service delivery and national security through competent human resources.
