The Ministry of Labour and Employment’s Department of Finance and Accounts has issued a directive to all eligible staff concerning the payment of their 2022 and 2023 promotion arrears.
In an internal memo dated 24th June 2025, the IPPIS/Salary Unit confirms that officers who sat for and passed the relevant promotion examinations have now been successfully placed on their new grade levels.
To facilitate the immediate compilation and release of these arrears, affected staff are required to forward photocopies of their official promotion letters alongside the audited variation advices. These documents must be submitted to the IPPIS/Salary Unit, which will collate the records and prepare the corresponding financial submissions for the Budget Office.
The memo emphasizes that all paperwork must be received on or before Monday, 30th June 2025. This deadline is critical to ensure that the arrears are processed without further delay and incorporated into the forthcoming budget disbursements.
Amos Christopher Pam, Head of the IPPIS/Salary Unit, signed off on the notice with a clear call for swift compliance. Staff yet to complete their documentation have been urged to treat this as a priority and bring the notice to the attention of their colleagues to avoid any oversight.
By meeting the submission deadline, eligible civil servants will enable the Ministry to honour its commitment to fair and timely promotion-related payments, reinforcing morale and recognizing the professional progress of its workforce.
