Ekiti Governor Orders Urgent Construction of New Facilities After NYSC Camp Building Collapse

In the wake of the recent building collapse incident at the Ise/Emure NYSC camp in Ekiti State, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has taken swift action to address the situation.

Governor Oyebanji has instructed the immediate construction of 40 units of toilet and bathroom facilities at the NYSC camp. This directive comes after the unfortunate incident on Friday where a building at the camp collapsed, highlighting the need for improved infrastructure.

The Governor was represented at the camp by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Adesola Gold Adedayo, and the Special Adviser on Special Projects, Architect Tope Ogunleye.

They conveyed the news of the construction project to the state NYSC Coordinator, Alhaji Riko Abdullahi Shuaibu, who expressed gratitude for the Governor’s prompt response.

This immediate action by the Ekiti State Government demonstrates its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of NYSC members serving in the state.

The construction of the new convenience facility is expected to be completed as soon as possible to provide the necessary infrastructure at the camp.
