The Federal Polytechnic Ayede in Oyo State has matriculated 381 Full-Time and Daily Part-Time students for the 2023/2024 academic session, with a charge to embrace innovation, entrepreneurship, and moral uprightness.
The second matriculation ceremony, held at the temporary site in Iresa Pupa on Tuesday, saw the Pioneer Rector, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, highlighting the institution’s progress and commitment to academic excellence and entrepreneurship training.
The Polytechnic, which began academic activities in 2023, now offers 12 National Diploma programs, focusing on developing enterprising and innovative graduates. Dr. Abdul-Hameed commended the students, parents, and guardians for choosing Federal Polytechnic Ayede, emphasizing the importance of academic dedication, skill development, and moral uprightness.
The institution has achieved significant milestones, including advancements in Skills and Entrepreneurship Development programs, staff training initiatives, and infrastructure development.
The Rector appealed for support from stakeholders and philanthropists to enhance infrastructure development, particularly in road networks and basic amenities at the permanent site.
Dr. Abdul-Hameed reiterated the institution’s commitment to guiding students towards becoming functional and productive members of society, emphasizing the importance of eschewing social vices and adhering to moral norms.
