
The governor, who strolled from his country home to the Resort, was warmly received by visitors at the iconic spring. Governor Oyebanji also posed for group photos with staff from the Recreation and Tours unit, further reinforcing his image as a leader deeply connected to the people.
A highlight of the visit was his tour of the newly revitalized spa facility. Introduced to the Resort’s professional spa masseuse, Sade, the Governor expressed excitement at the operational status of the spa and personally inspected its facilities. Visibly impressed, he commended the Resort’s leadership for the strides made in enhancing its offerings and pledged to have a spa session before departing Ikogosi. He also assured that Her Excellency, the First Lady, would be informed of the development.
Reiterating his administration’s commitment to tourism development, Governor Oyebanji confirmed plans to inaugurate the Resort’s new hiking trail with a debut hike scheduled for Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on his schedule.
The Governor extended his visit to Camp A within the Resort, where he inspected ongoing civil engineering projects, particularly the drainage system. He expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work and indicated that further developments would follow soon.
In a show of proactive leadership, the Governor observed a vehicle descending a slope at high speed as he exited Camp A. Concerned about safety, he recommended the immediate installation of pre-fabricated speed humps as a temporary measure ahead of planned road rerouting within the Resort.
