The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it will be conducting the Ondo governorship shadow election on April 20 using a direct primary.
In a letter jointly signed by the National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and the National Secretary, Sen. Ajibola Basiru, the party informed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) about the chosen mode of election for the party primary.
Nze Chidi Duru, the Deputy National Organising Secretary, confirmed the decision to reporters in Abuja on Wednesday evening. When asked about the mode of election for the April 20 Ondo governorship election, Duru stated, “We are using the direct primary mode of election for the Ondo State governorship primary election.
This decision has also been communicated in a letter signed by the National Chairman and the National Secretary to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), informing them that the party has adopted the direct mode of election for the Ondo State governorship election.”
