Founder of the Jide Akinyemi Foundation (JAF), Mr. Jide Akinyemi, has called on Nigerians, particularly Christians and Muslims, to use the holy month as an opportunity to strengthen love, unity, and peaceful coexistence across religious divides.
In a phone conversation with newsmen on Saturday, Akinyemi stressed the importance of interfaith harmony, urging Nigerians to focus on shared values rather than differences.
“This holy month presents a unique opportunity for us to come together, put aside our differences, and focus on the values that unite us,” he said. “As Christians and Muslims, we share a common humanity, and it is our responsibility to promote love, compassion, and understanding.”
His appeal comes at a time when Nigeria faces economic, social, and security challenges. He believes that fostering interfaith unity will help build a more cohesive and resilient society.
“We must recognize that our diversity is a strength, not a weakness. By celebrating our differences and promoting mutual respect, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come,” Akinyemi added.
The Jide Akinyemi Foundation (JAF) has been actively engaged in interfaith dialogue and community development across Nigeria. Through its various initiatives, the organization continues to promote peace and social cohesion among different religious groups.
As the holy month progresses, Nigerians have been urged to embrace love, tolerance, and unity, with a collective commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous nation.
