Kogi State University, Kabba (KSUK), has announced a wide range of job openings for both academic and non-teaching positions. This was made public in an official advertisement published in the Daily Trust newspaper on Monday, July 21, 2025. The university, a public institution established to meet the educational aspirations of indigenes of Kogi State and Nigeria at large, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates.
KSUK, currently in its second academic session, comprises three faculties: Arts & Humanities, Management, Administration & Social Sciences, and Science & Computing. With 25 academic programmes on offer, the university continues to expand its capacity to provide quality education.
In the academic category (Section A), the university is seeking Professors, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers I & II, and Assistant Lecturers across various departments. These include English Language & Literature, Theatre Arts, History and Diplomatic Studies, as well as departments in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Geography, Mass Communication, Political Science, Biological Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Physics, and Statistics. Positions are also open in the university library.
For non-teaching staff (Section B), vacancies are available in the Registry, Bursary, Library, and University Clinic. Positions include Deputy Registrar, Principal Assistant Registrar, Chief Accountant, Assistant Chief Library Officer, and various medical roles such as Medical Officers, Nurses, and Medical Laboratory Scientists.
