In a move to support agricultural initiatives in Ekiti State, Hon. (AVM Rtd) Ojuawo Rufus Adeniyi, the Member of the House of Representatives representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency, has facilitated the distribution of fertilizers to farmers across the region. 
The fertilizer distribution targeted farmers in Ikere, Ise Orun, and Ekiti South West Local Government Areas, regardless of their political party affiliations. This aligns with the “Grow What You Eat” and Agricultural Emancipation programs championed by the Ekiti State and Federal Governments.
“As I mentioned months back when we distributed fertilizer to farmers in the constituency, regardless of party affiliation, that more were still coming, the opportunity has beckoned again, and we have distributed them to farmers in the hinterland to support them in crop production and ease food shortage in our state,” said Hon. Ojuawo.
The beneficiary farmers expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for his commitment to agricultural development in the region. They highlighted Ojuawo’s efforts in establishing an empowerment farm for his constituents, which they believe will further boost food production and security.
Ojuawo assured the farmers that he would continue this gesture of fertilizer distribution to support their crop production and address the food shortage challenges facing the state and the country at large.
He noted that the upcoming tomato production season in Ekiti would be a testament to the impact of these agricultural interventions.
