
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has been honoured with the prestigious Media Ambassador Award at the 70th Anniversary Gala Night of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), held recently at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre in Abuja.
The award was received on behalf of the NBTE Executive Secretary, Prof. Idris Bugaje, by the Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary, Prof. Diya’uddeen Basheer Hasan, who represented him at the high-profile event. The honour celebrates NBTE’s steadfast commitment to supporting media development and promoting press freedom in Nigeria.
According to the NUJ, the recognition was given in appreciation of NBTE’s consistent engagement with journalists, its dedication to transparent communication, and its ongoing efforts to strengthen the role of media in national development. Speaking after receiving the award, Prof. Diya’uddeen Basheer Hasan expressed gratitude to the NUJ for the honour and reaffirmed NBTE’s readiness to continue working closely with the media in advancing technical and vocational education in Nigeria.
