A former governorship aspirant and prominent indigene of Ikere-Ekiti, Dr. Wole Oluyede, has extended warm congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adejimi Adu Alagbado, the Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti, on his appointment as the new Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers.
Describing the appointment as joyful and timely, Oluyede noted that the news was received with great excitement across Ikere-Ekiti, particularly as it coincides with the monarch’s 10th coronation anniversary.
“This appointment is a source of pride for the people of Ikere-Ekiti,” Oluyede said. “It comes at a significant moment when Kabiyesi is celebrating a decade on the throne of his forefathers, making it a double celebration for the town.”
Oluyede, who praised Oba Alagbado’s leadership, expressed confidence in his capacity to promote peace and development not only in Ikere but across the entire state.
“I am certain that Kabiyesi’s tenure as Chairman will sustain the existing peace and foster transformational development throughout Ekiti State,” he added.
He also commended the Ekiti State Government for recognizing the Ogoga’s leadership qualities and finding him worthy of the prestigious role.
Dr. Oluyede prayed for divine guidance and wisdom for the monarch in his new role and wished him many more fruitful years on the throne.
Oba Alagbado succeeds the Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ayorinde Idowu Faboro, as chairman of the council.
