Otunba Peter Obafemi Joins Ekiti PDP Leaders in Abuja, Emphasizing Unity Ahead of State Congresses

Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State convened in Abuja On Thursday to strategize for the upcoming party congresses.

The meeting, presided over by the state Caretaker Chairman, Chief Dare Adeleke, included prominent figures such as former National Assembly members.

Lasting over five hours, the closed-door session was called by the national leadership of the party, aiming to re-energize the PDP and prepare it for future electoral successes.

Southwest Zonal Publicity Secretary, Chief Sanya Atofarati, highlighted that the focus was on fostering unity within the party in anticipation of the Ward, LG, and state congresses.

– Former Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, Sen. Biodun Olujimi

– Senator Duro Faseyi

– Pastor Kehinde Agboola

– Hon. Segun Adekola

– Hon. Oladimeji

– Hon. Yemi Arokodare

– Mrs Funmi Ogun

Leading Governorship aspirant Otunba Peter Obafemi was present, alongside other key members like Barr. Gboyega Oguntuase, Chief Mosu Aguda, Hon. Dr. Omotoso, Otunba Yinka Akerele, and Hon. Kayode Adaramodu.

Members of the CTC committee, including Hon. Olanipekun and Hon. Ademola, contributed to discussions aimed at strengthening the party and expanding its membership in Ekiti State.

Atofarati emphasized, “The leaders stressed the need to work together to ensure the party’s success in future elections.” This meeting is seen as a significant step towards a more united PDP in Ekiti State.
