The EKPDP Caretaker Committee (CTC), led by Chairman Chief Dare Adeleke, has issued a press release addressing recent misinformation circulating on social media regarding the formation of the Local Government Caretaker Committees (LGCTC).
The chairman stated that these misleading narratives are part of a concerted effort by individuals seeking to undermine the party’s resurgence.
In the press release, Chairman Adeleke emphasized the importance of unity within the EKPDP, explaining that prior to the establishment of the CTC, the party had been deeply divided into various factions. He noted that this division led to ongoing conflicts and character attacks among party leaders. To combat this, the chairman has maintained an open-door policy, actively engaging with leaders to foster collaboration and inclusivity.
Adeleke detailed the extensive consultation process that took place during the formation of the LGCTC.
He reached out to prominent party figures, including Her Excellency Abiodun Olujimi, Senator Duro Faseyi, and Prof. Eleka, among others, inviting them to submit nominees for the committee. This approach was intended to ensure that all voices within the party were heard and represented in the decision-making process.
Following the release of the committee list, the chairman addressed several observations and concerns raised by party leaders. He assured them that their feedback was taken seriously and adjustments were made where feasible. This responsiveness reflects the CTC’s commitment to transparency and collective progress.
Chairman Adeleke reaffirmed that the EKPDP CTC is dedicated to moving the party forward and will not allow divisive tactics to derail its efforts. He called on all leaders within the party to come together and work towards a common goal, emphasizing that unity is essential for the party’s success in the future.
