In a move to ensure a seamless and successful Congress, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ekiti State chapter has called on all its members and stakeholders to embrace unity and collaboration.
In an open letter addressed to the esteemed leaders and members of the PDP Ekiti State, the State Chairman, Engr. Alaba Agboola, has urged all to set aside personal grievances and work collectively for the greater good of the party.
Agboola acknowledged the current political landscape in the country, which presents a unique opportunity for the PDP to regain the trust and support of the people. However, he stressed that this can only be achieved through prioritizing the interests of the party above personal ambitions.
“The time is now for us to reconcile our differences and join hands to ensure a seamless and successful Congress that will chart the future of our party,” Agboola said in the letter.
The sale of forms for the upcoming Congress has already commenced and will end on Friday, June 28th, 2024. Agboola encouraged all intending aspirants at various levels to approach the State Secretariat of the PDP to obtain their forms before the closing date.
Furthermore, the PDP Ekiti State Chairman reminded members that the updating of membership registration is still ongoing, and the cards are available at the party secretariat. He emphasized that the number of people who have registered must have their membership cards in order to vote and be voted for in the coming Congresses.
Agboola also extended his appreciation to the party’s media personnel, who have taken the initiative to foster peace among the party’s leaders. He appealed to those who have not yet embraced this peace initiative to do so, as without peace, the party’s progress will be hindered.
“Together, we can move the party forward and achieve our collective goals. Let us stand united, embrace peace, and work tirelessly towards a seamless Congress that will pave the way for our success both at the state and national levels,” Agboola concluded.
