The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced a shift in the date of its much-anticipated 99th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, initially scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, 2025. The meeting will now hold on Thursday, May 15, 2025, following consultations with party leaders, stakeholders, and relevant organs.
The statement highlighted that the National Working Committee (NWC), after extensive discussions with the Board of Trustees (BoT), the PDP Governors Forum, and the PDP National Assembly Caucus, resolved that shifting the meeting was in the best interest of the party, especially as it prepares for crucial activities in the months ahead.
The NWC sincerely regrets any inconveniences this change of date may cause our distinguished NEC members, the statement read.
The NEC meeting is expected to address several critical party issues, including strategies for strengthening the PDP’s presence in the Southwest and other regions ahead of future electoral contests.
Party members and stakeholders have been urged to take note of the new date and prepare accordingly.
