The leadership of Sotitobire Mega City (Worldwide) has announced a special one-day spiritual gathering for men, scheduled to hold on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Oba-Ile Mountain in Akure.
The programme, themed “Are You a Man?”, is expected to draw participants from within and outside Ondo State, as the ministry intensifies its focus on addressing spiritual, moral, and leadership responsibilities among men in contemporary society.
The event will be hosted by Prophet/Bishop Dr. Babatunde Samuel JP, the General Overseer of the church, who is widely known among his followers for his teachings on personal transformation and spiritual discipline. Organisers say the gathering will feature prayers, counselling sessions, and teachings aimed at redefining purpose and strengthening faith among men.
According to information made available by the church, the programme will commence at 7:00 a.m. and will hold at the church auditorium in Oshinle, Akure, with a spiritual exercise also planned at Oba-Ile Mountain, an area regarded by many worshippers as a place of retreat and encounter.
Church officials noted that the choice of theme is deliberate, reflecting growing concerns about the pressures facing men in families, workplaces, and society at large. They emphasised that the event is not only religious in nature but also a call to responsibility, accountability, and renewed commitment to positive values.
“This is a moment for men to reflect, reconnect, and rise to their true calling,” a statement from the ministry indicated.
In addition to the main service, provision has been made for prayer and counselling, with dedicated contact lines opened for participants seeking spiritual guidance ahead of the programme.
The Sotitobire Mega City has, over the years, hosted similar gatherings that attract large crowds, particularly among youth and family-focused congregants. With this latest initiative, the ministry appears set to further expand its outreach, using faith-based engagement to address societal challenges at the grassroots.
Observers within Akure’s religious community say the programme is likely to generate significant turnout, given the growing interest in targeted faith interventions addressing gender-specific issues.
As anticipation builds, organizers have encouraged intending participants to arrive early and come prepared for what they describe as “a life-impacting encounter.”
