A vocal member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Oladimeji Atenibiaje, has taken a bold stand against the leadership style of the State PDP Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Dare Adeleke, accusing him of fueling disunity within the party ranks.
In a strongly-worded statement issued on behalf of concerned PDP youths across the state, Atenibiaje decried what he described as a “divide-and-rule” approach being employed under Adeleke’s watch. He warned that such tactics were damaging the party’s internal cohesion and could cost the PDP dearly as it prepares for the 2026 elections.
“If you cannot add value to Ekiti PDP, we are pleading with you to leave us the way you met us. Enough of this divide-and-rule style that is tearing the party apart,” he said.
Atenibiaje emphasized that the party’s young members are frustrated and disillusioned, calling for leadership that prioritizes unity, reconciliation, and long-term growth over personal agendas.
“The PDP youths in Ekiti are angry, and we are calling for a leadership that will unite us, not divide us,” he added.
Atenibiaje, a well-known and respected voice among PDP stakeholders in Ekiti, has long been active in grassroots mobilization and party affairs. Though not holding a formal youth leadership position, his influence and strong connection with the party’s youth base make his words carry significant weight.
He urged Adeleke to focus on building bridges and restoring internal harmony, warning that the party risks collapse if current trends continue unchecked.
The statement, signed by Atenibiaje from Ward 08, Okemesi-Ekiti, Ekiti West Local Government, is the latest in a series of growing internal pushbacks against the current leadership structure, signaling mounting tension within Ekiti PDP as the 2026 political season approaches.
