The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Efon Local Government has lauded two of its leading members, Surv. Abiona Joshua and Hon. Oluwadare Olasunkanmi Jacob (Oscar), for their remarkable success at the just-concluded Ekiti State PDP Congress, where they both emerged as state officers.
In a statement signed by Aare Ajanaku Oluyemi JP, Chairman of Efon Local Government PDP and Chairman of Ekiti State PDP Chairmen, the party described their emergence as a reflection of steadfast commitment, loyalty, and outstanding contributions to the growth of the PDP in Ekiti State.
At the congress, Surv. Abiona Joshua was elected as the State Financial Secretary, while Hon. Oluwadare Olasunkanmi Jacob (Oscar) clinched the position of Assistant State Organizing Secretary. Their victories, according to the statement, are “a case of round pegs in round holes,” given their track record of excellence and service.
“Your commitment, loyalty, and past records have earned you these enviable positions at the state level. May Almighty God grant you wisdom and understanding to discharge your duties effectively,” the statement read.
Aare Ajanaku further emphasized that the victories were not only personal achievements for the two leaders but also a source of pride and encouragement for the entire Efon PDP family. He added that the outcome of the congress had once again proven that dedication and consistency are recognized and rewarded within the party structure.
The Efon PDP leadership, comprising local executives, ward chairmen, and members across the local government, joined in celebrating the milestone. They expressed confidence that both Abiona and Oluwadare would use their new offices to strengthen the PDP, foster unity, and prepare the party for future electoral successes in Ekiti State.
Observers note that the recent congress was a pivotal moment for the Ekiti State PDP, as it produced a new set of leaders expected to reposition the party ahead of upcoming elections. For Efon Local Government, the elevation of two of its own into prominent state positions is seen as a boost to its political influence within the PDP structure.
With their new mandates, both leaders are expected to play crucial roles in financial management and organizational structuring of the party across the state. Party faithful in Efon have expressed optimism that their inclusion at the state level would translate into stronger representation and a more coordinated push for electoral victories.
The statement concluded with a renewed pledge of support from Efon PDP to its newly elected state officers, affirming that the local government chapter stands firmly behind them as they assume their new responsibilities.
