The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed the Governor of Kaduna State as Chairman of its Campaign Council for the forthcoming governorship election in Ekiti State.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated April 24, 2026, and signed by the party’s National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru. The party noted that the decision reflects its confidence in the governor’s distinguished leadership, political experience, and commitment to ensuring victory in the crucial poll.
The letter, which was addressed to the governor at the Kaduna State Government House, also extended a formal invitation to the official flag-off rally of the Ekiti State governorship campaign.
According to the party, the rally is scheduled to hold on Monday, April 27, 2026, by 11:00 a.m. at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion.
The APC described the inauguration of the campaign council as a strategic move aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilization and coordinating party activities across the state ahead of the governorship election.
Political observers say the development signals the party’s readiness to intensify its campaign efforts as preparations gather momentum toward the poll.
