The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released the results of its recent nationwide recruitment examination for applicants seeking positions across the Civil Defence, Fire Service, Immigration, and Correctional Service agencies.
According to an official statement from the board, over 1.1 million candidates successfully completed the examination process without technical or logistical interruptions.
However, the board disclosed that a significant number of applicants, more than 430,000, were unable to finish the exam due to various challenges encountered during the exercise. In addition, hundreds of thousands of candidates were reportedly not qualified to participate at the initial screening stage.
The result breakdown showed a wide performance range among candidates. A total of 221,996 applicants scored between 0 and 40 marks, while 229,155 candidates fell within the 41 to 60 range. Another 278,543 candidates scored between 61 and 80. Those who performed better included 108,142 candidates who scored between 81 and 90, while 34,555 applicants achieved scores between 91 and 100.
The board stated that only candidates who met the required performance threshold will advance to the next phase of the recruitment exercise.
Applicants have been advised to stay alert and monitor official CDCFIB communication channels for updates regarding the upcoming screening and documentation process.
The board also reminded candidates to confirm the specific service they applied for, whether Civil Defence, Immigration, Fire Service, or Correctional Service, as further instructions will be service-based.
