Supporters of Engr. Kayode Olubunmi Ojo have been called upon to remain calm and steadfast amid circulating rumours claiming his disqualification from the upcoming political contest.
In a statement released on Thursday, Ojo’s campaign organization dismissed the reports as false and misleading, describing them as “a desperate attempt to confuse the public and cause unnecessary tension.”
The statement clarified that no officially signed or verified document has been issued by any authorized officer of the party confirming Ojo’s disqualification.
“As of this moment, no such decision has been officially communicated. The alleged ‘Resolutions of the 179th Meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC)’ held on October 9, 2025, have not been signed, released, or confirmed by any recognized authority of the party,” the statement read in part.
They also accused certain individuals of deliberately spreading falsehoods aimed at distracting loyal supporters, including baseless claims that Ojo lacks campaign presence in Ikoro-Ekiti or across Ekiti State.
“These fabrications are unfounded. The massive show of love and support witnessed across Ekiti during Engr. Ojo’s triumphant homecoming yesterday is clear evidence of the people’s faith in his vision for a greater Ekiti,” the campaign team asserted.
Reaffirming their confidence in Ojo’s candidacy, the statement described him as “anointed by God” and carrying “a divine mandate that no man can revoke.”
The campaign organization expressed gratitude to supporters for their peaceful conduct and prayers, assuring them that Engr. Kayode Olubunmi Ojo remains firmly in the race.
“Engr. Kayode Olubunmi Ojo has come to stay,” the statement concluded.
