A leading aspirant in the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election, Engr. Kayode Ojo, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the people of Ekiti State and his numerous supporters across the world for the overwhelming reception accorded him during his homecoming and official declaration for the governorship race.
The event, which held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Secretariat in Ado-Ekiti, witnessed a massive crowd of party faithful, admirers, and well-wishers who came out in large numbers to welcome the frontline aspirant.
Reacting to reports of his disqualification by the APC National Working Committee (NWC), Engr. Ojo maintained that while he holds the NWC in high regard, such development will not deter him from pursuing his political ambition. He assured his supporters that he remains firmly in the race and will participate in the party’s primary election scheduled for October 27, 2025.
In his words:
“Ekiti kete and my teeming supporters across the globe, I am overwhelmed by the massive turnout during my homecoming on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Your love and solidarity inspire me greatly. I wish to assure everyone that I am still very much in the race and will definitely contest the APC governorship primary.”
Engr. Ojo further called on his supporters to remain united and steadfast in their commitment to the ideals of the APC. He urged them to continue supporting President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which, according to him, aligns with his vision to rescue and reposition Ekiti State for greater development.
He reiterated his belief that with unity, focus, and commitment, Ekiti State would witness a new dawn of progress and good governance under purposeful leadership.
