In a statement released today, the group expressed deep concern over the ongoing tensions and infighting that have plagued the party in recent times, stressing that this is not the time for such divisions.

“As we approach the crucial congress to elect party officials, we implore all stakeholders, leaders and members of the State Working Committee (SWC) to find a common ground and work together towards a seamless and smooth process,” said Oke Tunde, the Coordinator of the Ekiti PDP Media Alliance, also known as Le Espanol.

The group’s Public Relations Officer, Tosin Ajayi (Tosin Osoko), emphasized that the party’s focus should be on preparing for the 2026 governorship election, rather than being embroiled in internal conflicts that could jeopardize its chances of victory.

Referring to a meeting held on May 27th in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti PDP Media Alliance expressed surprise and disappointment that the party’s leaders went ahead and held another meeting, where they claimed that the SEC meeting had already taken place, despite the earlier agreement to postpone the Caucus and SEC meetings.

“This is confusing and not what we want at this time. We appeal to our leaders to prioritize unity and work towards a peaceful resolution of any lingering issues,” said Ayobami Igbalajobi, the group’s Secretary.

The Ekiti PDP Media Alliance reiterated its unwavering commitment to supporting the party’s efforts towards a successful congress and the 2026 governorship election. They called on all party members to put aside their differences and work together for the greater good of the party and the people of Ekiti state.

“We cannot afford to be divided at this critical juncture. Our party’s success in the upcoming elections is paramount, and we can only achieve that through unity and collective effort,” the group stressed.

Emphasizing the importance of transparency and inclusivity, the Ekiti PDP Media Alliance urged the party leadership to heed their call for peace and ensure that the upcoming congress is conducted in a manner that promotes unity and harmony within the party.

The group’s Coordinator, Oke Tunde, further appealed to all stakeholders, leaders and members of the SWC to find a common ground and work together towards a seamless and smooth congress process.

“This is not the time for rancor and infighting. We must put our personal interests aside and focus on the bigger picture – the success of our party and the progress of Ekiti state,” Tunde added.

The Ekiti PDP Media Alliance’s Public Relations Officer, Tosin Ajayi, emphasized the need for all party members to be on the same page as the party gears up for the 2026 governorship election.

“Our unity and collective efforts will be crucial in securing victory for the party and delivering the much-needed development and progress for the people of Ekiti state,” Ajayi stated.

The group’s Secretary, Ayobami Igbalajobi, reiterated the call for the party leadership to prioritize unity and work towards a peaceful resolution of any outstanding issues among party members.

“We cannot afford to be distracted by internal conflicts. Our focus must be on winning the 2026 governorship election and providing good governance for the people of Ekiti state,” Igbalajobi said.

As the Ekiti PDP prepares for the upcoming congress and the 2026 governorship election, the Ekiti PDP Media Alliance has made a fervent appeal for unity, harmony and collective effort among all party members and stakeholders.

“The success of our party and the future of Ekiti state depend on our ability to come together, put aside our differences, and work towards a common goal,” the group concluded.
