The Ekiti State House of Assembly has announced that it will officially resume legislative activities on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, marking the end of its annual recess.
In a statement issued by Hon. Babatunde Oke, Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, the Assembly extended appreciation to the people of Ekiti State for their continued understanding, cooperation, and unwavering support for the legislative arm of government.
Hon. Oke emphasized that the resumption signifies the beginning of another productive phase in the Assembly’s legislative calendar, adding that members are returning with renewed energy and a strong sense of responsibility to serve the people more effectively.
He noted that the Assembly remains committed to its core mandates of effective lawmaking, quality representation, and robust oversight to ensure good governance and sustainable development across the state.
“The Ekiti State House of Assembly will continue to prioritize people-oriented bills and motions that address the needs and aspirations of our citizens,” Oke stated. “We are determined to build on our previous achievements and strengthen collaboration with other arms of government to deliver meaningful dividends of democracy.”
He further assured that the Assembly would maintain a transparent and accountable legislative process, guided by the principles of fairness, inclusiveness, and integrity.
