“Ekiti State Petroleum Product Regulation Agency Conducts Monitoring of Petrol Stations Amid Fuel Shortage”

Governor Oyebanji of Ekiti State has recently granted significant authority to the Ekiti State Petroleum Product Regulation and Consumer Protection Agency, enabling them to effectively carry out their functions.

As a result, on Monday, April 29th, 2024, the Chairman of the Agency, Hon. Arinka Odunayo, along with his team, conducted monitoring visits to several petrol filling stations in Ado-Ekiti, Ido Osi, Otun, Ikun, Iye, Isan, Ayede, and Ifaki.

During their inspections, it was observed that fuel was unavailable in most of the stations. However, in the stations where fuel was available, the team ensured that it was dispensed and sold appropriately. The monitoring activities continued until late in the night.

The monitoring process will resume today after the “S’etigbo” radio program at 10 am. This program will provide updates to the people of Ekiti State regarding how Governor Oyebanji is handling and managing the current situation through the Petroleum Product Regulation and Consumer Protection Agency (PPRCP).
