The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has approved 58 revised cadre schemes of service for polytechnics in Nigeria. This move is aimed at enabling polytechnics to better deliver on their mandate.
In a letter addressed to the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education, the Head of the Civil Service conveyed the approval of the revised schemes which cover various positions such as Lecturer, Librarian, Technologist, Registrar, Accountant, Engineer, and more.
The approved salary structures for these cadres range from CONPCASS 01-09 to CONHESS 09-15, depending on the level and nature of the roles.
“The implementation of these approved schemes of service is expected to ensure the effective attainment of the mandate of polytechnic institutions in the country,” the letter stated.
Officials from the Organization Design and Development Department will be visiting the polytechnics to monitor the implementation of the revised schemes.
