In a momentous occasion, Federal Polytechnic Ayede witnessed the laying of the foundation for its long-awaited Polytechnic Chapel. The event, held today, garnered significant attention and was hailed as a remarkable milestone.
Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed (FNSE, FIMC, FIPMD, FNIEEE), the esteemed Rector of the Polytechnic, expressed his admiration for the Institution’s Christian Community and commended their dedicated efforts. Addressing the gathering, he encouraged everyone to uphold strong moral values, emphasizing the importance of contributing to the development of the educational sector and the society as a whole.
Representing Oba Moses Olayiwola JP, the Aresa-Pupa of Iresa-Pupa, was His Otun, Chief Moses Olayiwola, who added prestige to the occasion with his presence.
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) team, led by Ven. Dr. J. S. Adegoke, the Ogbomoso Zonal Chairman, was also in attendance. Reverend John Adetutu, a former Chairman of CAN Ogbomoso zone, underscored the significance of worship in people’s lives and urged the gathering to actively serve the Creator. He fervently prayed for the swift completion of the project and for the chapel to become a place of salvation and healing.
Among the distinguished personalities present were Mr. Akin Odesola, the Registrar, represented by Deputy Registrar Mr. G. K. Olatinwo; Dr. Samuel Oke Oguniyi, the Polytechnic Librarian; Rev. Dr. John Adetutu; Pastor John Ojo; Rev. David Olawuyi; Pastor Olufemi Olutunji, and Pastor E. O. Oyeleke.
