LG Polls: Oyo declares Friday half working day

Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has granted approval for the declaration of Friday, April 26, 2024, as a half working day for all public and civil servants across the state.

This decision has been made in connection with the forthcoming local government election scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2024.

In a circular signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo, it was announced that government offices will conclude their operations by 12 noon on Friday. However, personnel responsible for providing essential services are required to remain at their duty posts to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

The circular emphasized the importance of civic participation and urged all public and civil servants to exercise their democratic rights by actively engaging in the local government election on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
