Nigerian Student Earns Two Doctorate Degrees After 17 Failed Attempts at WAEC Exam

In an inspiring story of resilience and perseverance, Emmanuel Ahmadu, a Nigerian student, has successfully earned two doctorate degrees in the United States after facing numerous challenges throughout his academic journey.

Ahmadu, who hails from Nigeria, gained international recognition in 2018 when he was awarded the International Award for Student Brand of the Year in West Africa while studying at the University of Benin (UNIBEN). His remarkable story of overcoming adversity has become a beacon of hope for young people facing similar obstacles.

Ahmadu’s path to success was not without its challenges. He recounted attending 16 primary schools and 14 secondary schools due to family instability, and sitting for the O’level examination 17 times over five years before finally passing.
