The management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has announced a change in the resumption date for the 2025/2026 academic session. The new date has been fixed for Monday, October 6, 2025, following an earlier schedule released by the institution.
In a circular dated September 18, 2025, and signed by the Registrar, Mr. Mufutau A. Ibrahim, the university urged all students to take note of the adjustment and comply accordingly. The Registrar emphasized that the decision was taken in the interest of proper academic planning and smooth commencement of activities for the new session.
“All students are hereby informed that the new resumption date for the 2025/2026 academic session is Monday, 6th October, 2025. The university management urges students, parents, and guardians to take note of this revised date and make necessary preparations,” the statement read in part.
The announcement is expected to guide returning students as well as newly admitted candidates who have been eagerly awaiting the start of the session. Academic and administrative departments are also expected to align their schedules with the new date.
FUOYE, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing federal universities, has continued to attract increasing numbers of applicants over the years due to its wide range of academic programs and reputation for academic excellence. The shift in the resumption date, officials say, will ensure that the university begins the session on a more stable and organized footing.
Students have been advised to regularly check the institution’s official communication channels for further updates, including registration procedures, hostel allocation, and academic timetables.
