The Ekiti State Police Command has paraded a group of suspects believed to be responsible for the recent killings of several POS operators and a 62-year-old woman in Ado-Ekiti.
The Commissioner of Police, Akinwale Adeniran, informed journalists that the suspects were arrested in their various criminal hideouts while they were planning to launch more attacks on POS operators and other innocent traders.
Adeniran recounted the details of the crimes, stating that on July 6, 2024, a 56-year-old woman, Adeyemi Aina, was shot dead by an assailant on a motorcycle while she was standing at Fabian Junction on NTA Road in Ado-Ekiti. Further investigation led to the arrest of Omowaye Ayodele in Akure, Ondo State, in connection with a case of kidnapping and murder.
