In a tragic incident that occurred today in the Oke Owode area of Ogbomosho, a fatal accident took place involving a bus carrying a load of mango fruits and a car occupied by suspected yahoo boys. The accident resulted in the loss of two lives, including the bus driver.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the suspected yahoo boys, who were driving a car, were allegedly at fault for the accident. Witnesses claimed that the yahoo boys were driving recklessly, presumably under the influence of alcohol. Their car collided with the mango-laden bus, leading to the tragic outcome.
Upon receiving the distress call, the police promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Efforts were made by the authorities to evacuate the bus, which was causing obstruction on the road. The bodies of the deceased, including the bus driver, were carefully removed from the scene and transported for further investigation
In the meantime, the car driven by the suspected yahoo boys has been impounded and taken to the Police Area Command for thorough investigation. The police will conduct a detailed examination of the vehicle and gather evidence to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the accident.
