The committee, which includes government officials and labour leaders, has been working to arrive at a new minimum wage figure.

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who is a member of the Tripartite Committee, revealed that the committee will reconvene today and announce the new minimum wage figure.

Uzodimma dismissed rumors that a figure of N105,000 has been agreed, stating that no such decision has been reached yet. He assured workers that the agreed figure will be made public after today’s meeting.

The committee previously met on Wednesday at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja, attended by representatives from the Federal Government, including the Ministers of Finance, Budget and National Planning, and Labour, as well as the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).

All eyes will be on the outcome of today’s crucial meeting as the government seeks to reach a new minimum wage agreement with the disgruntled workers.
