
Former Chairman of Ikere Local Government, Hon. Banji Aluko, has congratulated Prince Adedayo Adeyeye on his appointment as the new chairman of the board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
In his message, Hon. Banji Aluko, who is a committed member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Tinubu and a key stakeholder in the Southwest Agenda (SWAGA) that helped President Bola Tinubu’s successful 2023 election campaign, expressed confidence in Prince Adeyeye’s ability to excel in his new role.
“Prince Adedayo Adeyeye is a seasoned professional with a proven track record of service and leadership,” said Mr. Aluko, who is a respected community leader with a large following. “I am certain that he will not disappoint in his position as the NPA board chairman.”
Hon. Banji Aluko highlighted Prince Adeyeye’s previous experience, including his tenure as the Chairman of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), where he was praised for his excellent performance and representation.
The former Ikere LGA chairman also noted that Prince Adeyeye’s loyalty to President Tinubu has been a key factor in his recent appointment, given his active role in the SWAGA forum that galvanized support for the president’s successful 2023 election campaign.
“Prince Adeyeye’s appointment is a testament to his capabilities and the trust placed in him by President Tinubu,” Mr. Aluko added. “I have no doubt that he will use his experience and expertise to drive the NPA’s strategic objectives and further enhance Nigeria’s position as a major maritime hub in the region.”
