Dr. Wole Oluyede, a highly respected politician and medical doctor from Ikere and Australia, has denied reports that he has joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State.
In a voice call with Solidstar Newspapers, Dr. Oluyede stated that the reports of him joining the PDP, along with his supporters from the Ekiti Rebirth movement, are mere speculation.
He clarified that he is free to join any political party, but such a decision would be made public to his supporters and the people of Ekiti State.
The earlier reports had suggested that Dr. Oluyede’s decision to join the PDP would be a significant boost for the party’s efforts in the region. However, the denial from the prominent politician has now cast doubt on the authenticity of those claims.
Unable to reach the party for comment, the PDP leadership in Ekiti State has not decline or confirm the reports.
