Staff of Modibbo Adama University, Yola, have been notified of a delay in the payment of their June 2025 salaries due to the non-release of funds by the Federal Government.
In an internal memo dated June 30, 2025, and signed by Ahmed Jingi on behalf of the Bursar, the university management explained that the delay is a result of the Federal Government’s failure to release the June 2025 Personnel Cost Allocation. The memo was addressed to all university staff and copied to key administrative officers, including the Vice-Chancellor and other senior officials.
The university management assured staff that efforts are underway to resolve the issue. According to the statement, the institution is currently in communication with the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation to facilitate the release of the required funds.
While acknowledging the inconvenience, the university urged all affected staff to remain patient as the situation is being addressed at the federal level.
The management concluded by appreciating the understanding of staff during this delay, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring that salaries are paid as soon as the necessary funds are received.
