Otunba Peter Obafemi, a gubernatorial aspirant for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, has sent a special message to the people of Ekiti and all PDP members as February begins. In his message, Obafemi highlighted the need for unity, resilience, and a shared commitment to moving the party and state forward.
Obafemi greeted the leaders and members of PDP at all levels, urging them to use this new month as an opportunity to unite for the growth of the party and the state. He called on all members to put personal interests aside and focus on strengthening PDP for the 2026 gubernatorial election.
As we approach the February 8th PDP Ward Congress, the February 15th Local Government Congress, and the February 22nd State Congress, I urge all party members to view these important events as a way to strengthen our party and lay the foundation for success in 2026, Obafemi said. These congresses are not just about electing party officers” they are key steps to uniting our party and preparing for victory.
Obafemi expressed confidence that the PDP is gaining momentum, while the ruling APC in Ekiti is facing challenges. He pointed out that the APC is running from pillar to post because they know that PDP is growing stronger and the people are eager for change.
PDP will come back strong, and together, we will take back our state, Obafemi said, stressing that the APC days in power are numbered as Ekiti people seek a new direction.
In his conclusion, Obafemi thanked his campaign team, supporters, and everyone who has been working toward a positive change. He encouraged PDP members to unite and prepare for the opportunities ahead.
I appeal to all PDP leaders and members to reflect on the blessings of this new month and build the alliances that will strengthen our party. The time to unite is now, and together, we will emerge victorious, Obafemi said.
His message sets the tone for a crucial period in Ekiti political landscape as the PDP prepares for the upcoming congresses and the 2026 gubernatorial election.
