Man Allegedly Machetes Wife in Ado-Ekiti as Victim Demands Justice

A middle-aged man, Francis Adewunmi, has allegedly attacked his wife, leaving her with a head injury in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

According to a report by NEWSMEN  the incident occurred after the husband, who reportedly resides in Lagos State, arrived in Ado-Ekiti.

Recounting the incident, the woman alleged that trouble started when her husband accused her of being promiscuous, an allegation she strongly denied.

She described the accusation as unfounded and expressed concern over what she said were years of threats to her life.

The woman further alleged that her husband had been threatening her for the past 17 years. She called for justice and urged the appropriate authorities to take action over the alleged attack and the threats.

However, when contacted, Adewunmi gave a different account of the incident, claiming that he mistakenly hit his wife with a mobile phone during an argument.

The circumstances surrounding the incident and the allegations made by both parties have yet to be independently established.

The victim is demanding justice and appropriate action over the alleged assault.
