The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that its ongoing recruitment exercise has reached its final stages and is expected to be completed within the next four weeks.

The Board, in a statement issued by the Office of the Secretary, acknowledged the high level of anticipation among applicants following the large number of applications received from across the country.

The CDCFIB said it remains committed to ensuring a comprehensive, fair and transparent selection process, stressing that the recruitment would not be rushed at the expense of justice, merit, federal character, due process and the operational requirements of the four services under the Board.

The services involved are the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Immigration Service.

According to the Board, once the recruitment process is completed, candidates will be informed through the official recruitment platform. Applicants have therefore been advised to remain patient and monitor the official platform for updates rather than relying on unverified information circulating online.

The Board also thanked all candidates for their patience and assured them that their patience would be rewarded.

The statement was signed electronically by Major General (Rtd) A. M. Jibril, Secretary to the Board, on August 21, 2026. Candidates can follow updates through the official CDCFIB recruitment platform at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
